WELCOME AND AN APOLOGY
We apologize about the sorry state of this site. Somehow, nearly half of the images have been corrupted. We are in the process of attempting to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, this will require many hours of our time and will progress slowly, one city at a time. Zürich is the first one slated for repair and others will follow.
Keep sending images you think will fit our site aesthetic. It is a pity we will loose some of the uploaded images that have been corrupted, but then perhaps that is what it is all about. Whatever it is.
There are plenty of sites with good graffiti, but we are limiting this site to images we find amusing, beautiful or thought provoking. Tags belong elsewhere, if anywhere at all. The all pervasive NYC style subway pieces are more suitable on other sites. While we might like some of them, we are not including them on this site.
The concept of good graffiti we would like to see expanded to include unusual 3D pieces, materials and techniques that are not generally used in graffiti, and even some virtual pieces. Anonymity is preferred since we don’t want uploaders to be scrutinized by Big Brother. And, we are not too fond of self-aggrandizement. |
