WELCOME TO SENSELESS ACTS OF BEAUTY!
This site is about"good graffiti." Look at the images, especially San Francicso, Santa Cruz, Budapest, Paris, Zürich and London and read RANTS AND RAVES to understand what we unapologetically mean by "good graffiti". Good graffiti does exist, and here is where you will find some photos of it. Many of the photos are from an exhibition of Urban Pictographs and Petroglyphs by Frank Foreman at the Nyitott Muhely in Budapest in October 2004.
The site has been up and running for a bit more than four years and we have added hundreds images uploaded by viewers from around the world. Should you get the point of this site, and have photos that you think will fit our sensibilities, by all means send them to us. Uploading is very easy. Images we find pedestrian, offensive, or the kind of stuff on other sites will be rejected. Sorry, but there are so many tags and NY subway style pieces out there that we will reject them, even if we like the work.
The very idea of "good graffiti" will, we know, provoke strong feelings, which we hope you will share with us on our FORUM. Please remember we are doing this for fun, not for profit. Longer commentary in RANTS AND RAVES offer philosophical rationale, explanation and background, senseless meanderings and some social/political/historical and aesthetic justification for what we are ABOUT.
Good graffiti is ABOUT beauty, change, chance, silliness and challenging ideas and images that we see now. The site is added to daily. Enjoy and have fun playing around on SENSELESS ACTS OF BEAUTY.
